Our Process

We make it easy for you and your family…

Committing to protecting your family and assets is a wonderful first step, but it can be overwhelming.  Our process is designed to minimize your stress and to help you build confidence every step of the way.   In about six to eight weeks, you will have a comprehensive estate plan in place protecting your family and your legacy into the future.

During our initial meeting, which usually takes about two hours, we will inform you as to what the consequences would be if you passed away with no plan in place.  If you have a current plan, we will go over it with you and explain what it does or doesn’t do.  We will advise you if your current plan needs modification.

And most importantly, we want to make sure we are a good fit for you and your family.  We want you to be comfortable with us and the estate planning process.

We will design a custom estate plan for you and your family that meets your needs and expectations.

All of our estate plans are on a flat fee basis.  We currently offer three different planning packages.  Which plan you choose depends on your family’s needs and wants.  Our flat fees begin at $1500 for a married couple and are all inclusive.  There will be no surprise bills in the mail.  You can call us any time. We welcome your questions.  We will work with you to design the plan which provides the greatest peace of mind for you and those you love.

But this is just the beginning

When you walk out the door with your completed estate plan under your arm, that is just the beginning.   With most law firms, this would be the end of their relationship with you. But not with us. This is why we are unique.  We look at it as just the start of our relationship with you.  Over time, the law changes as does your family, your needs and your situation.  If your estate plan is not periodically updated, it eventually may not do the things you want it to do.  It could end up being as worthless as the paper it is written on.

We want to make sure all of these changes are taken into account.  That’s why we will contact you on a periodic basis and review your plan at least every three years to make certain it still reflects your wishes and desires.  And we will do this at no extra charge.  By keeping you informed you can make the best possible and informed decisions for your family.  We strive to provide you with the peace of mind which comes from knowing we will be here for your family in the event of your incapacity or death.

If you are looking for this kind of personalized lawyering, contact us to schedule a Family Legacy Estate Planning meeting at our Folsom office conveniently located off E. Bidwell St.   We provide superior legal representation and 100% commitment to our clients and their families.
