About Us

Todd D. Brownell, Esq.   

Todd is a native Californian.  Todd is married to his wife Anne and the father of two.    Their daughter is presently attending college and their son is in high school.  Todd graduated from Western State University College of Law in Orange County, California in 1987.  While in law school, Todd was awarded the American Jurisprudence Award for excellence in the study of Trusts.  Todd also earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration from Long Beach State University.   Prior to opening his own business, he had significant experience working with large insurance defense litigation firms in both San Diego and Sacramento.  He served as the jury foreman pro tem for the 2000 El Dorado County Civil Grand Jury.  Todd has represented clients from all walks of life and is very personable with everyone he meets. He is an avid outdoorsman, mountaineer and snow skier.

Anne L. Brownell, Esq.  

Anne was born in New York.  She and Todd have been married for over 20 years. Anne is the proud mother of two fine children.  She met Todd while they were both attending law school at Western State University College of Law in Orange County, California.  During law school, she spent a semester in England studying at Cambridge University.  Anne also holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Business from Long Beach State University.  In the past, Anne has practiced workers’ compensation law and is recognized by the State Bar of California as a Certified Specialist in that field.  She has experience with employment law and human resource issues.  Anne’s warmth and intelligence serves her clients well.  When she is not working, Anne enjoys her garden and snow skiing in the lovely Eastern Sierra.
